2010 Convention in Oklahoma City

Convention runs July 29 to 31, and once again offers the FCF Basic Wild Feline Husbandry Course and the Wildlife Conservation Educatorıs Course on Wednesday, July 28. We will gather at the Holiday Inn Norman, 19 miles from Will Rogers Airport, OKC.

We are proud and ecxcited to announce that we have two very  special guests this year. Meet Jarod Miller, TV personality, naturalist,
zoologist and lecturer on captive and wild animal management. Jarod
founded his own wildlife education and production company, Wild
Encounters. And also attending and speaking will be Jim Fowler, one of this nationa's most respected wildlfie spokespersons.

We will tour Tiger Safari Zoological Park, enjoy lunch brand-new,
air-conditioned banquet hall overlooking the zoo grounds, and learn from our all-star line up of speakers in his. Special guest Jarod Miller will speak, as will FCF conservation advisor, Jim Sanderson, and others.

This is a kid-friendly zoo. Tiger Safari specializes in hands-on education for all ages. We will be guided by one of Billıs staff and meet up-close and personal, his exotic animals such as Emmett the Capuchin monkey, Heckle & Jeckle little fennec foxes, and Zazu the ring-tailed lemur. The park is home to rare tabby, white, and snow tigers. Also, see African lion, serval, leopard, bobcat, and Siberian lynx.

Feline Handlers registered with the FCF may attend a Registered Handlers only workshop conducted by Jarod Miller.

Experience nightlife at historic Bricktown, located in downtown Oklahoma City. This beautiful, bustling part of the city is filled with eateries, shopping, and entertainment. Take a relaxed stroll along the riverwalk, or better yet, a water taxi ride in the canal.

Tour Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Gardens. On exhibit are nine species of cat, including snow leopards, Sumatran tigers and African lions. Other popular attractions are "Great EscApe", a world-class exhibit that allows adventurers to journey through a tropical rainforest and view gorillas, orangutans, and chimpanzees. Tour "Aquaticus," a spectacular showcase of marine life from around the globe and "Oklahoma Trails", a eight acre, ten million dollar exhibit featuring 800 species native to Oklahoma. And for our little people, a brand new childrenıs zoo just opened. Children can explore, touch, and immerse themselves in a natural environment that will stimulate their imagination, encourage exploration and give them a greater appreciation for nature.

Top off this yearıs event Saturday evening with cocktails, banquet
dinner, entertainment, and fund-raiser auction, hosted by our special
guest, Jarod Miller.
